Trade directly from the order book with precision and speed
What Is the DOM?
The Depth of Market (DOM) shows the live order book — where traders are currently willing to buy and sell.
TradeSea™ Station displays the explicit book, meaning:
• Real orders placed by traders
• No synthetic or system-generated liquidity
This gives you a transparent view of true market supply and demand.
Understanding the DOM Columns
Each row in the DOM represents a single price level where the contract can trade.
Price - Tradable price levels.
Bid Size - Contracts waiting to buy at each price (buy liquidity).
Ask Size - Contracts waiting to sell at each price (sell liquidity).
Volume - Contracts traded at that price; width shows relative activity (acts like a mini volume profile).
My Bid / My Ask - Your active working orders in the ladder.
Trading Directly From the DOM
The DOM is not only for viewing data - it is also a trading interface.
Limit Order
A limit order lets you choose the exact price where you want to buy or sell.
When using the DOM:
• Click a price level in the Bid column to place a Buy Limit
• Click a price level in the Ask column to place a Sell Limit
The order is added to the order book and waits there. It will only fill if the market trades at your price (or better). If the price never reaches that level, the order remains unfilled unless you cancel or move it.
Stop Market Order
A stop market order is used when you want an order to trigger once price reaches a specific level.
When using the DOM:
• Select your stop price level on the ladder
• Use the DOM order menu (such as a right-click or order action option) to place a
Working orders can be managed directly from ladder, cancelling orders, modifying to new prices.
